Performance Exhaust Systems

Bolt-On performance with a Quiet Muffler Exhaust System. For 1500/1600 Upright engines, the 1 3/8" tubing is a perfect match for OEM Heater Box outlets, with equal length header pipes flowing into a high-velocity collector with a 1 5/8" outlet. Connecting to a free-flow chambered muffler with a smooth bore for excellent scavenging, the entire system runs cooler than most stock applications. And in keeping with our tradition of quality products systems made for Buses through 1971 these systems are constructed for Buses, not some "One Part Number Fits Bugs, Buses, etc." This prevents the dreaded "Black Bumper Syndrome" common with these types. For Late Buses & Vanagons with the 1700, 1800 & 2000 engines, we also offer a variety of performance exhaust systems that bolt right on to your existing Heater Boxes as well, with the correct sized tubing for the best flow possible. GT "Monza Style" Systems are also available.

Important Note: These systems are not legal for street use on vehicles equipped with EGR and/or Catalytic Pollution Control Devices. Bus Boys is not liable for street-use installation by the customer.
