Skylight Ventilator Parts - 1980 to 1991 Models
One of the luxuries of owning a Westfalia Poptop Camper is the convenience of "raising the roof" for more room and in the case of the 1974 to 1991 models, sleeping room for two adults (the manual says 4, but that's a tight fit!)(1968 to 1973 models had a folding cot topside for a small teenager). What's not so convenient is that after time, the seals and canvas do wear out. Air whistles through with shrinkage of the factory seals. We provide our own replacement seals manufactured right here in the USA. Instead of steel pinch clips that rust and discolor the top, we use aluminum impregnated in a vinyl covering to give it a clean look. The rubber "bulb seal" has also been repositioned to offer a much better "positive" seal than the factory offered and is made from EPDM, so it will last the life of your Camper. The poptop seal kit comes in 2 pieces - 1 long piece for the poptop base and a short piece for the "overtop" joint between the Poptop and the Luggage Rack. Our Poptop Canvas Tent is made from a Gold Tan durable canvas with 3 Screened Windows that feature zippered flaps for the best in ventilation.

Note: Some customers ask for a seal for the Rear Luggage Rack, 1968 to 1973 Models. A
seal should not installed there as water drainage will be inhibited, creating your own
mini bathtub in the back. This is why Volkswagen/Westfalia never installed one there and

For the owners of 1968 to 1979 Westfalias that continued with a "pop-straight-up" poptop (sold in Europe and some in Canada), we have the replacement seals and Gold Tan Canvas - Made In USA! This Poptop looks like it's earlier 1964 to 1967 cousin, but is slightly longer. Please note that we have seen some of the 1964 to 1967 Poptops on 1968 to 1971 European models (retrofitted) as well, so please provide the EXACT length of the Poptop shell at the BOTTOM for us to determine which "pop-straight-up" poptop you have so we can accurately fill your order the first time.
